WYC will be holding auditions for NEW singers who would like to join us who were unable to attend our spring auditions. We hold auditions in groups of six, and they last about an hour. WYC’s next performance will be the National Anthem at the Sea Dogs game on Friday night, June 22nd at 7 PM. We will gather at 5:40 at the Slugger Statue, then march in the parade around the bases, run the anthem a few times, sing it at home plate, then enjoy the game with our families and friends! We are offered group rate tickets at $5 per person, and you can purchase them through this link. Please note that there is a service charge of $1.50 per ticket using this service. TICKET LINK
Our 20th Season! Yes, we will be celebrating 20 years of bringing music and education to many singers in the area. Wescustago Youth Chorale will be joined by Alumni from the past 19 years and they will be performing a number of favorites from the past twenty years. Our five conductors (Ann Healy Dillon, Lise Dunn, Renovia Day, Amanda Mahaffey and Jen Runge) will be working with the singers and conducting several songs each. The concert will be at Freeport Performing Arts Center at 7 PM, free admission although a donation is requested. $10 suggested amount.
Alumni, we want you to come join us! Whether you sang for the full 9 years with WYC or just one year, please come join us. We would like you to register with us so that we are sure to have enough music and folders for everyone. Rehearsal will start at 1 PM and last until 5:30; we will have a pizza supper along with some other items, and start the concert at 7 PM. Come early on Saturday (details TBD) and browse the early year scrapbooks and view the photoboards from over the years. Visit with your fellow singers and enjoy meeting other alumni.

Tickets are $10 each and may be purchased from any current singer or by calling Leigh at 846-0705. We will be selling raffle tickets from now until the drawing at our Spring Concert on May 4th. Proceeds will help replenish our scholarship fund for next year, as well as helping with expenses for our “Celebrate the 20th” Concert on June 16th.
